　　1183年圣诞节，年迈的英国国王亨利二世（彼德·奥图 Peter O&♯39;Toole 饰）决定选举王位继承人。亨利二世谕示他分居的妻子依莲娜（凯瑟琳·赫本 Katharine Hepburn 饰）带回三个儿子理查德（安东尼·霍普金斯 Anthony Hopkins 饰）、杰弗里（约翰·卡索 John Castle 饰）和约翰（尼吉尔·特瑞 Nigel Terry 饰）回宫团聚，以便乘机选出王位继承人。然而亨利二世和依莲娜对继承人的意见大有分歧，再加上亨利二世的情妇艾莱丝（简·麦罗 Jane Merrow 饰）也纠缠其间。不仅如此，年轻狡猾的法国国王菲利普（提摩西·道尔顿 Timothy Dalton 饰）也加入了争权夺位的宫廷战争之中。
　　本片根据詹姆斯·古德曼的同名话剧改编而成，荣获1969年第41届奥斯卡金像奖最佳女演员、最佳改编剧本、最佳配乐在内的3项大奖4项提名，并荣获1969年第26届金球奖剧情类最佳影片、剧情类最佳男演员在内的2项大奖5项提名。

　　本片为苏联电影理论家兼导演爱森斯坦的处女作，用六个章节展示了一场罢工运动的始末。
　　繁忙的工厂里，工人们埋头工作。布尔什维克党在地下积极组织工人罢工，但表面上仍然一片平静……工厂里的一把工具失窃，当值工人被厂主调查侮辱，气忿不过的工人回到车间，上吊自杀。工人们与厂主爆发了冲突，工人冲出工厂，打倒工头，联络其他工厂的同志，一场大规模的罢工启动了。
　　工厂主与工人们的谈判陷入僵持，失去生活来源的工人们忍饥挨饿，工厂主又雇佣侦探抓捕工人领导、借助流氓势力破坏工人组织。在水龙和骑警的驱逐下，工人们四处奔逃，最终遭到血腥屠杀……

　　“TOKYO MER”正式认可半年。为了在全国政令指定城市开展MER，代替离开队伍的音羽（贺来贤人）的第二医生问题让喜多见（铃木亮平）头痛不已。在队伍内希望比奈（中条绫美）升格的声音也提高，不过，音羽断言比奈应该向循环器外科的道前进。比奈也感到压力，烦恼着能不能代替音羽。这时，青户（伊藤淳史）作为支援医生来到MER。青户和音羽一样是厚生劳动省的医科技术官，表面上是作为第二医生候补的派遣，但那里有厚生劳动省方面的想法。
　　就在这时，隅田川发生了大型水上巴士和屋形船的碰撞事故。载着很多伤员，失去控制的屋形船暴走了。虽然是赶往现场的MER的成员们，但是因为不能接舷，所以不能进入。并且由于船底内部的燃料泄漏，装载了很多的患者爆炸的可能性被发现！喜多见等人为了救助被遗弃的人们，进行了意料之外的作战。那正是决死的挑战。

　　Looking for work, Aaron comes across a cryptic online ad: “$1,000 for the day. Filming service. Discretion is appreciated.” Low on cash and full of naiveté, he decides to go for it. He drives to a cabin in a remote mountain town, where he meets Josef, his cinematic subject for the day. Josef is sincere and the project seems heartfelt, so Aaron begins to film. But as the day goes on, it becomes clear that Josef is not who he says, and his intentions are not at all pure.

　　A lawyer turned private investigator takes on a missing person case, propelling him on an unexpected and life-altering quest.

　　白方进（伊藤淳史 饰）出生在寺庙之中，就读于佛教圣地高野山大学，学成后，他并没有选择剃度开启寺院生涯，反而蓄起了头发，在一间书店里打工。尽管生于寺庙，长于寺庙，但白方进的内心里却十分的矛盾，面对拥有无限可能的未来，他犹豫着，迟迟无法迈出脚步。

　　Synopsis
　　"Falsely accused as the murderer of my own husband... Oh, the cruel machinations of fate!" A female teacher (Lee Yong-ae) gives shelter to an escaped convict, but her husband, misconstruing her intentions, reacts violently and accidentally stabs himself to death in the process. The teacher is charged with her husband&♯39;s murder, but fortunately the prosecutor on the case is a former student of hers, of whom she had taken painstaking care when she was working at an elementary school. Remembering her kindness to him, the prosecutor uncovers her innocence in court, and she is acquitted of the crime.

　　A Public Prosecutor and a Teacher is familiar to us for the performance of Shin Chool, Korea&♯39;s last silent movie narrator (known as "byeonsa"in Korean). Numerous critics have recommended the film, praising it as "a silent movie that allows us to examine the narrator-accompanied method of 16mm films" (Chung Jong-wha), "the work of Korea&♯39;s last silent movie narrator" (Kim Hong-joon), a movie that "reflects the public&♯39;s consciousness and has great historical value" (Lee Seung-hun), and "the archetypal new-school film" (Chung Sung-il). As evidenced by such commentary, A Public Prosecutor and a Teacherenjoys greater recognition for its historical value as the only surviving silent movie in Korea than for its artistic or technical aspects. What is ironic is the fact that this recognition derivesfrom a production and screening method that fell behind the times, as sound films (or "talkies") had already become the norm when the movie was first made. Its inclusion in the list is therefore based on its historical, social context rather than on the film itself.
