　　本片为苏联电影理论家兼导演爱森斯坦的处女作，用六个章节展示了一场罢工运动的始末。
　　繁忙的工厂里，工人们埋头工作。布尔什维克党在地下积极组织工人罢工，但表面上仍然一片平静……工厂里的一把工具失窃，当值工人被厂主调查侮辱，气忿不过的工人回到车间，上吊自杀。工人们与厂主爆发了冲突，工人冲出工厂，打倒工头，联络其他工厂的同志，一场大规模的罢工启动了。
　　工厂主与工人们的谈判陷入僵持，失去生活来源的工人们忍饥挨饿，工厂主又雇佣侦探抓捕工人领导、借助流氓势力破坏工人组织。在水龙和骑警的驱逐下，工人们四处奔逃，最终遭到血腥屠杀……

　　Buster Keaton and Virginia Fox play young lovers who live in tenements, the rear of which face each other, with backyards separated by a wooden fence. Their families feud over the lovers&♯39; relationship, resulting in much mayhem and slapstick.
　　The Romeo and Juliet story played out in a tenement neighborhood with Buster and Virginia&♯39;s families hating each other over the fence separating their buildings.

　　丧偶女记者招募了一个私人侦探来调查她已故的丈夫的秘密，发现他死去的丈夫背后深藏着一个阴谋，于是他便打算深入其中查出真相，然而两人成为未知的攻击目标…

　　脾气暴躁、高傲自大的大贯先生（役所广司 饰）通过四十年的打拼创立了财力雄厚的鲁瓦尔公司，但年事已高的他终于在董事会上心脏病到下，被送入医院休养。
　　这是一家云集了各种奇怪之人的医院：被消防车撞到的消防员泷田（剧团一人 饰）、热爱八卦和唱歌的人妖木之元（国村隼 饰）、被心爱的小猴子顺平枪伤的黑社会龙门寺（山内圭哉 饰）、酷爱搞怪的堀米（阿部隆史 饰）、曾经风靡一时而如今只想自杀的童星（妻夫木聪 饰）。当然还有怪点子频出喜欢模仿小飞侠的大夫浅野（上川隆也 饰）、从不良少女转业的护士玉子（土屋安娜 饰）以及贪恋叔叔大贯家产的雅美（小池荣子 饰），这些怪人让医院每天的生活乐趣不断，当然也令大贯先生难以忍受。
　　医院里还有一个如天使般的小女孩帕高（威尔逊•绫香 饰），车祸夺去了她的父母，也令她罹患失忆症，只能记住当天发生的事情。帕高每天读着母亲生日那天送给她的童话书，偶然机会，坏脾气的大贯先生和小帕高成为了好朋友……

　　美国内战结束的十年后，当年的南北战争英雄纳森（汤姆•克鲁斯 Tom Cruise）因无所事事而终日酗酒。一次偶然的机会，他结识了来美做生意的日本商人。纳森的彪炳战绩令对方刮目相看。此时正值明治维新时期，日本天皇意欲训练一支现代化的作战部队，于是纳森被请到了日本。
　　日本很 多武士都不欢迎纳森的到来，他们坚决不肯抛弃传统的武士道精神，对将武士西化十分反感。他们在首领乌吉奥（渡边谦 饰）的带领下举刀起义，躲到了一条偏僻的小山村自立为政。天皇大怒，派纳森率领他训练出来的现代化军队去围剿叛变武士。岂料皇军全军覆没，纳森亦成为了阶下囚……

　　根据奥斯丁同名小说《诺桑觉寺》改编而成。
　　乡村牧师之女凯瑟琳（Felicity Jones饰）是个天真烂漫的少女，受闭塞的家庭环境所限，她终日在小说天地里徜徉探幽，以此为平淡生活增亮添彩。
　　在有钱朋友的引领下，凯瑟琳进入了上流社会的社交圈，她终于见识到现实中的花花世界，其中不乏虚伪狡猾者如索普兄妹和蒂尔尼将军，也有值得终身结交的挚友艾丽诺。凯瑟琳和艾丽诺的哥哥：温文尔雅、俊逸潇洒的亨利（JJ Feild饰）一见倾心，再见钟情，理所当然的，迎接他们的也将是奥斯丁的男女主人公势必经历的种种磨难和考验。

　　前2作とは異なり、今回は都会（けもの部屋）が舞台となる。刑務所を脱獄したナミは、売春婦のもとに身を寄せる。ナミは町のヤクザの情婦カツからリンチを受ける。ナミは夜の女たちの“怨“を背追い、ドスを手にする……。

　　夜の街で出会ったうつろな女性と、秘密を抱える塾講師の幻想的かつノスタルジックな逃避行を紡ぐ「さいはて」。街から森、やがて海へと展開する2人の旅路と、まばゆい恋模様が映し出される。

　　Synopsis
　　"Falsely accused as the murderer of my own husband... Oh, the cruel machinations of fate!" A female teacher (Lee Yong-ae) gives shelter to an escaped convict, but her husband, misconstruing her intentions, reacts violently and accidentally stabs himself to death in the process. The teacher is charged with her husband&♯39;s murder, but fortunately the prosecutor on the case is a former student of hers, of whom she had taken painstaking care when she was working at an elementary school. Remembering her kindness to him, the prosecutor uncovers her innocence in court, and she is acquitted of the crime.

　　A Public Prosecutor and a Teacher is familiar to us for the performance of Shin Chool, Korea&♯39;s last silent movie narrator (known as "byeonsa"in Korean). Numerous critics have recommended the film, praising it as "a silent movie that allows us to examine the narrator-accompanied method of 16mm films" (Chung Jong-wha), "the work of Korea&♯39;s last silent movie narrator" (Kim Hong-joon), a movie that "reflects the public&♯39;s consciousness and has great historical value" (Lee Seung-hun), and "the archetypal new-school film" (Chung Sung-il). As evidenced by such commentary, A Public Prosecutor and a Teacherenjoys greater recognition for its historical value as the only surviving silent movie in Korea than for its artistic or technical aspects. What is ironic is the fact that this recognition derivesfrom a production and screening method that fell behind the times, as sound films (or "talkies") had already become the norm when the movie was first made. Its inclusion in the list is therefore based on its historical, social context rather than on the film itself.
