　　Marg Duffield (Lee Remick) is the Maine wife of Al (Joseph Sommer) whose daughter Peg (Marlee Matlin) is deaf. Peg&♯39;s husband is killed in a car accident on the way to visit the Maine house, and the Duffield&♯39;s take in Peg&♯39;s six year old daughter, Lisa, while Peg recovers. Since Lisa is a speaking child, Marg thinks of her the way she wanted Peg to be, and seeks guardian custody.
　　Remick&♯39;s role is secondary to Matlin&♯39;s, though she is presented as a tragic figure, particularly as Al refuses to help her plan to gain Lisa. Peg&♯39;s deafness is said to be from a childhood case of spinal meningitis, and the teleplay by Louisa Burns-Bisogno, with story by Louisa and Tom Bisogno, reduces Remick to a textbook mother who is self-hating from guilt and therefore cannot love her own daughter. In a memorable scene, Peg angrily signs her exit to Marg, since Marg has refused to learn sign language, though Peg has learned to speak for her mother.
　　The treatment uses the Tennesee Williams play, The Glass Menagerie, for therapy, to help Peg overcome her grief and also Marg `lose her unicorn horn&♯39; and embrace her daughter. Whilst Peg choosing to act in this play may seem an odd choice for someone grieving, what is more noticable is that Matlin is far too more glamourous to be believable as Laura. The Bisogno&♯39;s include Michael O&♯39;Keefe as Dan, Peg&♯39;s deceased husband&♯39;s best friend and director of Actors Theatre for the Deaf, to offer Peg a new romantic interest, and thankfully she rebukes his protestations of love. Although his opinion may be influenced by his `crush&♯39;, Dan tells Peg that being different is better than being normal, since the normal ones are as `common as weeds&♯39;. This philosophy reads as rather Nietzschean, on the level of artists not being restricted to the common moral code.
　　Director Karen Arthur either has those signing also speaking or those signing being translated for the audience, though in one scene the sound of lapping waves drowns out the dialogue between Dan and Peg. She also gives Matlin some good moments, one being her scream of horror when she hears the news of the death of her husband, and another when she chases Remick down a flight of steps, hitting her.

　　Tae-gyu and Ji-hye get married. Two young lovers dreamed of the ideal married life which each had respect for each other. But honeymoon is soon over as each comes to realize that the other isn&♯39;t quite what they thought. The liberal woman would like to talk of sex with frankness and ease. The conservative man can&♯39;t get rid of his traditional sense of superiority. They end up hurting each other and decide to get a (limited) divorce. Once apart, they each begin to feel empty without the other, and realized they need to make an effort to understand each other.

　　首先是布鲁克的儿子莱恩，他和双胞胎初相见时发生了一些相处上的"歧见"；等到三人成为朋友后，便开始联手对付第二个障碍--麦斯惟利是图的经纪人奈吉。这三个古灵精怪的青少年会想出怎样异想天开的妙计来撮合他们的父母呢？

　　初来乍到的鞋子设计师凯丽（詹妮弗·格雷 Jennifer Grey 饰）过着拮据的生活，她不仅在事业上郁郁不得志，更不得不受三名室友的气。一次偶然中，凯丽帮助了一个落难的妇人，没想妇人摇身一变成为了神奇的魔女，她施法让凯丽设计的一双高跟鞋拥有了魔力，只要凯丽穿上它，既能够变成美若天仙的完美女性。
　　一日，凯丽穿着这双魔鞋来到设计师萨尔维托（罗伯·劳 Rob Lowe 饰）举办的晚会，光芒四射的凯丽一出现就立刻吸引了萨尔维托的目光。凯丽化名普鲁登斯成为了萨尔维托的助手，而后者也越来越为普鲁登斯的魅力所折服。随着时间的流逝，凯丽发现一切美好都变了样，她不知道萨尔维托喜欢的究竟是平凡的自己还是美艳的普鲁登斯，魔鞋的魔力开始让她感到无所适从。

　　Sam (Matthew Broderick) is the reasonable man in a crazy urban world, the man of thoughtfulness and refined taste in a landscape of Leroy Neiman paintings and beer commercials. The guy would sooner cook for an hour over a hot stove than say `supersize it.&♯39;
　　By day he&♯39;s a store clerk in an upscale gourmet eatery, and these scenes raise a smile, especially for anyone who&♯39;s visited the actual chain in New York City -- the portrayal isn&♯39;t far off from the reality. Our man is besieged by hoards of customers who want their imported French cheese cut to impossibly exact standards. His efforts to remain outwardly polite (while you know he&♯39;d like to take the cleaver to the relentless clientele) are pretty funny, and will warm the hearts of clerks everywhere. In general, Broderick is in good form and provides the movie with most of whatever lightness it possesses.
　　Sciorra&♯39;s lovelorn dental hygienist, Ellen, is fine enough, too, and her unknowing interaction with our cheese-slicing hero shows some hopeful chemistry, and you may begin to feel you want to see these two get together.
　　One of the main competitors for our lady&♯39;s affections, a stockbroker (Kevin Anderson), is played as caricature: he&♯39;s the beer swilling frat-boy whose idea of after-sex sensitivity is flipping on the football game. He&♯39;s kind of funny at times, but the movie might be stronger if he was written or acted for us to like him more, instead of having us merely recognize him as the flat-out `wrong&♯39; guy in comparison to Broderick&♯39;s sensitive man. Think of John Candy in Splash, taking a cigarette and beer can to the racquetball game; we know his lifestyle is not the one our hero should emulate, but we can&♯39;t help but be charmed by the likeable goon. Whereas this character is merely a goon, and pretty unlikable all around.
　　While it&♯39;s a nice enough light movie for the first half, for me the story was somewhat derailed by its unbelievable (Hollywood) presentation of sex and adultery. (SPOILER AHEAD, skip to next paragraph.) When Ellen returns home after an evening&♯39;s misadventures, she is naturally faced with the questioning husband (Michael Mantell). Quickly admitting her own indiscretion, she then immediately turns the situation around, demanding to know why the guy had gone ahead and bought a house without discussing it. Granted, it&♯39;s a valid issue, and granted, many people use this countering maneuver in arguments. What&♯39;s unbelievable is what happens next: the guy starts responding to her question, addressing the house-issue in a quiet, thoughtful manner. WHOA. You&♯39;d be hard pressed to find a married person in the world who, when faced with his/her partner&♯39;s totally unexpected adultery, would be ready to address anything so calmly. The guy would surely be bouncing off the walls, or else crushed into silence and tears - but see, then we might actually feel for the poor schnook, and we&♯39;d see Sciorra&♯39;s character in a poor light. And since that particular audience reaction doesn&♯39;t serve the romantic comedy, the story tries to sneak around it. You may start to feel that, like the husband, you&♯39;re being taken.
　　Further dissatisfaction is just around the corner in the ending. We realize this is where misunderstandings will get sorted out, and our couple will finally see a clear path to one another. We want the satisfaction of rooting for them. But it&♯39;s marred by another unbelievable character reaction, followed by an abrupt conclusion that feels rushed and forced, too easy and unearned. You may feel as though the movie&♯39;s cheating on you again...

　　Chekov&♯39;s Uncle Vanya, transposed to turn-of-the-century North Wales, where the peace and tranquility of a country house is disturbed by the arrival of the estate&♯39;s tyrannical owner and his American wife.

　　乔治和露西很快堕入了爱河，然而下等阶层出身的乔治身上有着很多露西看不惯的“陋习”，夏洛特也不甚喜欢乔治，双方在交往中闹了不少“笑话”。一次，乔治“越轨”吻了露西一下，露西认为乔治太过“不合礼仪”，于是独自回了英国。
　　乔治很快也回了国，然而，这时露西已经订了婚……

　　从看到艾丽莎（乔伊·劳伦·亚当斯 Joey Lauren Adams 饰）的第一眼起，霍登（本·阿弗莱克 Ben Affleck 饰）就知道自己在劫难逃，可接下来的消息对霍登来说无疑是一记噩耗，漂亮开朗的艾丽莎居然是一个完完全全的女同性恋者。得知了死党的遭遇，班克（杰森·李 Jason Lee 饰）为此十分打抱不平，他告诉霍登他的恋情并没有走入绝望的境地，并且表示愿意在此方面助他一臂之力。
　　随着时间的流逝，艾丽莎和霍登之间产生了真挚的感情，一段良缘眼看着就要结成，这时的班克才发现自己内心中充斥着的竟然全是负面的感情，他并不希望霍登能够得到艾丽莎的垂怜，而他和霍登之间的友谊也开始出现了裂痕。
